Combining sounds inspired by synthwave and dark synth, soundtrack masters like carpenter, frizzi, goblin, morricone, and tangerine dream, along with just the right amount of metallic aggression, neuron spectre is a synth performer to keep an eye on. After dropping the debut ep ‘hear them stalking’ in august of 2016, he has gone on to play shows with some of the biggest synth acts around, such as perturbator, gost, dance with the dead, shredder 1984, facexhugger, and the encounter, as well as other national touring acts like doyle from the misfits, davey suicide, robots with rayguns, mega ran, and the gothsicles.
A synthwave producer from Serbia with some serious skills, his release "Neon Marble" last year put him on the map internationally as a new producer bringing a much needed breath of fresh air to the scene, weaving amazing retro-sci-fi synth compositions into a wonderfully original sound.
Coming from Toronto, Ontario, we're proud to have Mellow Fields bringing some of the smoothest synths we've heard in the scene to our stage. Blending a signature intergalactic sound with some truly addictive Outrun beats, we can't wait to hear him live in Rhode Island this summer.
Check out his self-titled album, and hear for yourself:
The words "enthusiastic" and "prolific" hardly serve to define this man and his ever-growing portfolio of synthetic sorcery. Bringing a wide set of arcane style and sound to bear on each and every album he releases, if you don't know about DREDDD yet, you do now, and you likely won't be able to stop listening.
A synth project inspired by two things we love, science fiction and horror, FacexHugger will bring a lethal synth barrage to our main stage this August, but you can check out the incredible release, "Chasing Replicants", now!
Held captive by criminals who run the streets, the citizens of San Diego cry out for justice. The police are powerless against the crime syndicates who use the city as a battleground for their turf war.
Enter, Detective Jack Slade. By day, respected badge. By night, masked vigilante. He does what is necessary to uncover the truth behind the crooked politicians, human traffickers, and drug lords. When the mask is on, no law can stop him from hitting the streets, and taking them out.
Jack Slade is, The Street Cleaner.
Protector 101 springs forth from the 80's, cutting through a maze of neon-laden back-alleys, to re-enchant your stereo systems with melodies and feelings of this gone-but-not-forgotten decade. Armed to the teeth with post-apocalyptic synth, machine-gun drum machines and fueled by an insatiable appetite for pulsating bass lines,
Protector 101 stands side by side with other cyborg-musicians such as John McCallum and Brad Fiedel. The sounds of Protector 101 is the 80's synth soundtrack for your modern day living world.
While known for extensively varied styles of music, a new persona emerges, Rolly Mingwald, who pulls inspiration from the culture he loved growing up - the music, the films, the cars - “80s everything” as he puts it. As well as taking inspiration from the past, he looks to the present and beyond; to those creating contemporary music modeled after decades-old hardware and music genres.
Rolly Mingwald's debut EP, "THE NEW GIRL" tells a story of just that. A new girl in a new town, filled with nervousness, yet teeming with excitement - a concept album that explores the the new experiences of hesitant laughter, guilt-ridden happiness, and the stomach-churning anxiety that sometimes comes along with forming new relationships.

Climbing out of an ice-cold DeLorean with wild eyes and crazy hair, Glass Apple Bonzai arrives carrying manic romances, frozen hearts, and the introspective darkness of 80s Synthpop to a contemporary audience that hungers for something traditional with a modern twist.
Glass Apple Bonzai, in their relatively short existence, has garnered critical acclaim for their recorded material and their energetic live performances. GAB performed their inaugural show at Toronto’s Aftermath Festival in 2014 (held in the legendary Phoenix Concert Theatre) to an enthusiastic and large audience.
Daniel’s production techniques are an experiment in paving a road to the traditional; a scientific journey into attaining the vibe and feeling of classic 80s records. But Glass Apple Bonzai doesn’t merely sit in the shadow of a long-passed decade, harping on kitsch and panache. This is something new… something genuine. This is a collection of lustrous pop songs with strong hooks and lyrical content that avoids the stereotype of vapid pop-trash and offers the listener something to and think about while singing and dancing along.
“IN THE DARK” is the latest, greatest album by Glass Apple Bonzai, and it will be delivering red-hot nostalgia to walkmen and dancefloors around the world soon.
Pairing dream-like synth tones and melodic vocal hooks with a chill, southern California vibe, Let Em Riot has established himself as a prominent act on the frontiers of retrowave. The artist has been innovatively mixing ‘80s nostalgia with modern music as Let Em Riot since 2010, creating a unique and compelling take on established songwriting conventions. His newest album, The Futurist, is a milestone for both himself and the synthwave genre.
This is mood music for reclining on the hood of your speeder, blowing smoke from the barrel of your blaster after plugging an extraterrestrial beastie full of holes. Mellow Daft Punk abound in the songs’ steady rhythms and Moroder-like synths, keeping things relaxed but never boring. Variety is the spice of life (although not for the aforementioned beastie). Ten describes this as “an impressive experimental retro electro album.” The smooth sounds make Nocturn great for relaxing, planet-side. Just pack a laser gun.
Station Nova follows in the footsteps of ’70s space disco acts like Zodiac and Space, but updates the old star charts for the synthwave era. The Stockholm-based artist starts his songs on terrestrial dance floors, but they quickly launch into the cosmos. Rhythms are loose and funky, sci-fi synths blink in time with the beats, dotting the songs like constellations. Call it dance music for space stations. - Bandcamp Daily

Waveshaper is a Swedish artist inspired by the soundtrack scene of the 80s / early 90s. His sound is cinematic and melodic with a modern mix that reminds of the French House sound. He grew up spending a lot of time on Atari/Amiga and video games that clearly is represented in his tracks.
Waveshaper emerged back in 2013 and but the last couple of years has blossomed into one of the most well known artists in the so called Synthwave scene. Prepare to have your face melted by Straplocked: This is the live guitar-fueled synth you've been waiting for.
Hailing from Connecticut, Christopher Carvache's razor sharp riffs create a full on retrofuturisc assault that will leave you reeling.
Recently releasing the masterpiece of an album paired with Ray Gun Hero, "Stalemate" is not to be missed.
Through Mecha Maiko, Stewart exercises a kind-of soft power. If we want to be punny, we could say a “mad but soft power.” Each of the record’s 10 songs packs a massive blast of seismic activity hidden in a shroud of composure. The brutality of the mecha is delivered in the enigmatic serenity and impeccable manners of the maiko.
Because she’s solo, Stewart has more freedom to experiment with composition and subject matter. Although she’s often associated with the synthwave scene — through Dead Astronauts or her guest work for artists such as Perturbator — Stewart uses her Mecha Maiko identity as a means to reach further, infusing her synthwave roots with a steady stream of influences that include Caribou, Jamie xx, and others."
Their ultra-tight cover tributes bring video gaming's catchiest riffs to life in blistering metal waves of awesomeness. If Synth is NEON's soul, then video gaming is its heart. Rock on, boys.
Andy Deane grew up loving the horror movies and romantic comedies of the 80s. He could watch Michael Myers taking out promiscuous teens for 90 minutes and then shift gears to find out who Molly Ringwald was going to choose to be with at the school dance. There was inspiration to be found at both ends of the spectrum... the horrific and the beautiful, the tragic and the hopeful. Either way, a great soundtrack was the one thing that could put a film over the top.
This dichotomy shapes The Rain Within's sound in many ways; The cold synthesizers of John Carpenter and Vangelis colliding with the soulful, catchy pop structures of The Psychedelic Furs and Depeche Mode. Dance beats pound a path to the future as heartfelt lyrics draw the listener back with nostalgic words of love and loss.
Andy Deane is a modern renaissance man, having found success as a musician, a horror author, and most recently as a photographer. He studied voice training with a teacher specializing in opera for many years, and continues to learn on the job. He has toured the US extensively and found his way to Europe and the UK on several occasions with his goth rock band Bella Morte. The Rain Within is his latest musical conquest and tours are in the works to support Dark Drive.
