Triangle Forest

Synth-rock band from Providence, RI. May induce intense dancing.

Members: Brendan Britton (synth & vocals), Ben Britton (electronic drums), Martin van Etten (synth)

In April 2007, Triangle Forest were the winners of the WBRU Rock Hunt, an annual battle of the bands. The group played a WBRU Summer Concert Series date on August 4, 2007, opening for The Bravery and Shiny Toy Guns. Bassist and keytarist Alexandra Kleeman left the group to study at Berkeley, and was replaced by Xiaojue Hu. Their album Hostile Takeover was named one of the best local albums of the year by the Boston Phoenix. Hu left the group in March of 2009 to pursue a medical career and was replaced by Martin van Etten of Providence synth-pop act Llove.
